my ancestors came from Prussia ,Christian Sohlke was born 4 apr 1816 d. 14 sept 1894 in Putnam co Ohio he married Emily Gepping b. 19 may 1822 d. 20 dec 1894 , they came to US in abt 1850 or 1852
came in a boat to New York Christian came first follew by his wife and 3 children they stay in NY for awhile then came to Ohio there son Herman Edward Sohlke was b. 9 oct 1844 in Prussia d. 14 aug 1932 in Ohio m. 1875 to Susan Elvina Brower
this would be my family.
